Gevaren trotseren: Cumulatieve risico's en psychologische schade voor kinderen op de vlucht
In deze studie onderzocht Save the Children de beschermingsrisico’s voor kinderen op de vlucht, met speciale aandacht voor migratieroutes tussen Soedan en Egypte, Libië en Griekenland, en op de noordwestelijke Balkanroute. De bevindingen zijn gebaseerd op interviews met kinderen, hun verzorgers en hulpverleners, uitgevoerd tussen februari en oktober 2025. Het onderzoek beoogt een uitgebreid beeld te schetsen van de fysieke en psychologische schade die kinderen tijdens hun vlucht ondervinden en analyseert hoe zij het risico lopen herhaaldelijk en langdurig aan schade blootgesteld te worden.
Traversing danger: Cumulative risks and psychological harm for children in migration
In this study, Save the Children examined the protection risks for children on the move along their migratory journeys, with a focus on routes between Sudan and Egypt, Libya and Greece, as well as on the North-Western Balkan route. It draws on interviews with children, their caregivers, and practitioners collected between February and October 2025. The study aims to capture a comprehensive picture of the physical and psychological harm experienced by children on the move and analyses how they are at risk of repeated and sustained exposure to harm.
